Disaster Lander February 2023


Work continues on the UI for player activities between flight missions. The learning curve for UI Toolkit wasn't too steep, but it is still slow going as I gain proficiency.  February hasn't been a greatly productive month so far as new features are concerned, but a solid foundation in flexbox and Unity UI Toolkit has been achieved along with some decent animation embellishments.

Sadly, a Transform.SetParent() defect in Unity's latest build for ARM CPUs is still preventing lengthy flight game play. As  result no recent demo video has been created. So for the time being development will remain focused on the sections of the UI in the screenshot below. I would like to create a UI demo video in March or April, but will prioritize another gameplay video if possible.
