Disaster Lander

A group of people, who were hated on Earth, pooled their resources to make a millennium-long journey to another star. A colony ship was built and they abandoned the planet of their ancestors to their cultural nemesis. They slept in pods. Small crews awoke from time to time to perform maintenance and assure the safety of the journey, but most of the time they spent in a near-zero energy state waiting to experience their new sun.

One amongst them had been corrupted by their enemies. Just decades before reaching their destination he was awoken from cryostasis to commit hateful acts of sabotage. As his reward, he spent the remaining years of his life plugged in with more media than could be experienced in a lifetime consuming degenerate neuro stimulus with no further cares or concerns.

As the great ship with its hopeful slumbering passengers entered into orbit around their long-sought star, the sabotage manifested itself in systems failures and explosions.  No one was awake for the disaster. A single engineering ship moored to the side with its own small crew escaped unscathed. Its systems came online and its first crew member stirred from cryostasis to salvage the expedition.

It will be a race against time to salvage stasis pods before their backup power gives out. Your new mission is to land enough survivors and resources to create a viable settlement.

Gameplay

Design and pilot spacecraft to rescue space pioneers, recover materials, explore, discover, and settle on a distant planet.

Controls

The game is played via keyboard.

• P - pilot a different spacecraft for astronaut
• E - commence an EVA
• Arrow Keys - engage maneuvering thrusters along craft axis
• Shift+Arrow Keys - engage thrusters in rotation
• C - open/close cargo bay door
• L - turn light module on/off
• Esc - access flight menu
• M - toggle message display on/off
